We are located inside the Lincoln Family Medicine building. Please enter through the door labeled Entrance 2 and take the elevator or stairs to the third floor. Our waiting room is located down the hall to the left after exiting the elevator or stairs.

The Jenda Outpatient Clinic offers mental health and substance use treatment services, specializing in trauma-informed and dual diagnostic intervention. Maggie Borgmann

Maggie Borgmann, LIMHP, LICSW is the Jenda Family Services Clinical Director and has been with Jenda for over nine years. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Maggie received her Master of Social Work from The University of Nebraska – Omaha. Through her time at Jenda, she has also been involved with family support, visitation, and Intensive Family Preservation. In addition, she has experience in mental health partial care in working with older adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Her work as clinical director has progressed Jenda Outpatient Clinic into new services through tele-behavioral health and her continued work with Nebraska Probation and Department of Health and Human Services. Maggie facilitates Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills group and provides individual mental health counseling to adults. In addition, she conducts Co-occurring, substance use and mental health assessments for both adults and adolescents. Her areas of expertise include: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mental Health Treatment for Adults and Older Adults.

Denise Barrow

Denise Barrow, MA, LIMHP, LADC joined Jenda Family Services in June of 2017, initially as an Intensive Family Preservation Therapist, but then transitioned to the Outpatient Clinic in February of 2018.   Denise earned an Associate of Applied Science in Human Services from Southeast Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in Family Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Doane University.  

Denise has over 20 years of experience working in the human services field, primarily with adolescents and families involved with the Juvenile Justice System and the Department of Health and Human Services.  Denise has experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.  She specializes in working with adolescents and families dealing with a variety of issues; ADHD, ODD, Conduct Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Grief/Loss, Substance use, and Adjustment issues.  Denise also currently completes Substance Use, Mental Health, and Co-Occurring Evaluations. Denise approaches therapy with genuine understanding and transparency utilizing a variety of different therapeutic tools based on the individual needs of the client.  Denise also encourages her clients to be active in their therapy process, incorporating their strengths through individual self-advocacy.

Erica Exstrom, MA, LIMHP, PLADC joined Jenda Family Services in June 2017. She earned her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace University in Omaha, NE. Erica works with children, adolescents, adults, and families through outpatient therapy. Erica incorporates and works with the Juvenile Justice System and the Department of Health and Human Services.

Her areas of expertise included Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She provides individual and family therapy with both mental health and substance use related problems.  

Kerri Peterson

Kerri Peterson, PLMHP, PCMSW joined Jenda Family Services in July 2020. Kerri earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Nebraska Wesleyan University in May of 2018 and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from LSU in June of 2020. Kerri worked in the Lincoln Public School system for 5 years before obtaining her degrees. Kerri provides individual and family therapy to all age groups.

Her areas of expertise include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Kerri has extensive experience working in various social service roles, which can assist her clients in identifying community resources and supports.

Liz Canning, MA, PLMHP joined Jenda Family Services in September 2016. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and sport Management from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Liz obtained her Master of Arts in Sport and Performance Psychology from The University of Denver at Denver Colorado.

She is the head of Trauma Assessments at Jenda, Liz incorporates and works with Juvenile Justice System, and the Department of Health and Human Services. Her areas of expertise included Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child-parent Psychotherapy, Parent-child Interaction Therapy, trauma assessments, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and working with Children, Adolescents, and Families.

Amanda Mason

Amanda Mason, MS, LIMHP, LADC, joined Jenda Family Services in July 2021. Amanda graduated in 2012 from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a Bachelors in Psychology and graduated in 2015 with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Amanda completed an internship at St. Monica’s for LADC license and completes substance use evaluations and runs substance use groups.

Amanda specializes in EMDR therapy for treating trauma, working with individuals that suffer from anxiety and depression, and is an LGBTQ+ ally. 

Lindsay Brundege

Lindsay joined Jenda Family Services in July of 2021. Lindsay graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2007 and earned her Master's in Counseling from Doane College in 2014. Lindsay has over 15 years of human service experience working in direct care, family support, intensive family preservation, foster care, mental health, and addictions. She has been licensed as a Mental Health Therapist and Drug and Alcohol Counselor since 2014.

She primarily works with adults dealing with a variety of issues, including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD, adjustment issues, substance use, eating disorders and more. Lindsay's primary therapeutic focus includes CBT, DBT, and EMDR. Lindsay can also complete Mental Health, Co-Occurring, and Substance Use Evaluations. Lindsay provides a non-judgmental and safe space for people to express thoughts and feelings, and she has a passion for helping others heal and find healthy solutions to change and better their lives.

Whitney Chrisman

Whitney Chrisman joined Jenda’s Outpatient Clinic in the summer of 2022. She primarily works with adolescents and adults using a variety of therapy modalities catered to her client’s individual needs. Whitney has a variety of experience, previously working as a therapist at a substance use treatment center. She can address a variety of issues including trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, substance use, and oppositional behaviors. Whitney has been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing. In addition to seeing clients in individual sessions, Whitney conducts co-occurring, mental health and substance use evaluations for the clinic. She can also conduct family therapy sessions.
Jonathan whitehead

Jonathan Whitehead, PLMHP, PCMSW, PLADC, joined Jenda Family Services in August of 2022 working in Intensive Family Preservation and Reunification before transitioning to the Outpatient Clinic in March 2023. Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a Minor in Conflict and Conflict Resolution studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2016 before receiving his Master of Social work degree from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2022. Jonathan served 8 years in the United States Army Reserve as a Mental Health Specialist with experience leading psychoeducational groups and the assisting in facilitation of the Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP). Jonathan has been previously employed by the Lancaster County Mental Health Crisis Center and Lincoln Regional Center with experience in direct care for individuals who have experienced mental health crisis, severe and persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, grief, and trauma.

Natalie Holley, MS, PLMHP, PLMFT joined Jenda Family Services in September 2022 as an Intensive Family Preservation Therapist and transitioned to the Outpatient Clinic in May 2023. Natalie earned a B.S. in Education and Human Science and a M.S. in Education and Human Science, Specialization in Marriage and Family therapy, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Natalie’s therapeutic work focuses on attachment and family relationships, parent-child dyads, trauma, stress, life transitions, anxiety and depression. Her areas of expertise include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Gottman Therapy Levels 1 & 2.

Nicole Radtke, PLMHP, PCMSW, joined Jenda Family Services in 2020. Nicole initially served as an intensive family preservation therapist, until transitioning to the Outpatient Clinic in 2023. Nicole earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Psychology from Olivet Nazarene University and a Master of Social Work from Azusa Pacific University. Nicole has over 10 years of experience working primarily with birth families and adoptive families in domestic infant adoption. Nicole facilitates Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills groups to adults. Nicole aims to provide a calm and safe space for those needing extra support for a season and empowers clients to create the life they want to live.

Hannah Hysack is the Intake Coordinator and Clinical Billing Specialist at Jenda Family Services Outpatient Clinic. Hannah began her career at Jenda Family Services as a Family Support Worker in September 2016. Hannah graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. Hannah has held various positions at Jenda Family Services including Family Support Worker, Drug Screen and Testing Team Lead, and Billing Specialist. Hannah’s areas of expertise include billing, credentialing/licensure and quality assurance.

Addy joined Jenda Family Services in late October of 2023. She has a background in childcare, previously serving as the Director of a nonprofit childcare center based in Lincoln, NE. Prior to this work, Addy has worked in the childcare industry obtaining an associate degree in both business and early childhood development. Addy enjoys working on the frontline of client care and is excited to grow in her career with Jenda Family Services.

Mikaela Andersen joined Jenda Family Services in May of 2023 as a Family Support Worker. In December she transitioned to the Outpatient Clinic as the Intake Administrative Assistant. Mikaela is in the process of getting her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. After getting her bachelor’s she intends to return to school to get her master’s in clinical mental health counseling and become a clinical mental health therapist.
